I went in October 2022, stayed in Portimão (one of the big cities in the district of Faro in the Algarve region) and from there I made a base for touring the beaches of southern Portugal. I rented a motorcycle and rode 120km in total. I divided it into 4 days because the rest I was working. The routes are safe and very well signposted, but if I were to return, I would rent a car to be more comfortable. I left very early in the morning and returned at night to Portimão and it was very windy on the road. Anyway, it is a worthwhile trip if you like beaches and you like surfing.
